William Kerber's Software Studio

Welcome everyone, to Software Studio 2025!

This year, we had 6 students come and pitch their projects. The Judges graded the pitches based on the following criteria:

1) Passion & Commitment Energy, enthusiasm, and genuine interest in the idea. Demonstrates motivation to push through challenges.

2) Energy of the Idea How exciting or inspiring the idea feels to the audience/judges. Does it spark curiosity, confidence, or momentum?

3) Viability & Feasibility Clear path to building a prototype within the semester(s). Reasonable scope given resources, time, and skills available.

4) Novelty & Differentiation Originality of the idea compared to existing solutions. Distinct competitive or creative angle.

5) Impact Potential Strong problem-solution fit. Clear articulation of user benefits, market potential, or societal value.

6) Team-Building & Collaboration Potential Willingness to recruit, engage, and work with teammates. Openness to feedback and collaboration. Ability to inspire others to join and contribute.

7) Clarity & Effectiveness of Presentation Ability to clearly explain the vision, value proposition, and plan. Engaging, confident, and easy-to-follow delivery.

After some hard decisions, the judges decided to choose the following three projects to be developed throughout 2025 and 2026:

1. Atlas: All-in-one Fitness App
2. Deepend Security: AI Pen Test
3. FreeTime: Scheduling made easy
